Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Edge Cutter (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Edge Cutter is a browser-based video editor that converts landscape video into short-form portrait clips. You retain ownership of any video content you upload.

• You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your jurisdiction.
• You are responsible for your account credentials.
• You may not share an account between people.

You will not:

• Upload content you don't own or have the right to use.
• Use the Service to circumvent another platform's terms (e.g., to download videos you don't have the right to download).
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service.
• Use the Service for illegal purposes.

• Your content stays yours. You grant Edge Cutter a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process the content as necessary to provide the Service (compute, store temporarily, serve back to you).
• Edge Cutter content (the editor UI, the marketing site, branding) belongs to Edge Cutter. You may not redistribute it.

If you import a video from YouTube, Twitch, or Kick using the URL import feature, you represent that:

• You have the right to use that video for your intended purpose (e.g., it's your own stream, or you have a license).
• You will comply with that platform's Terms of Service.

We are not a tool for circumventing platform terms. If your import violates a platform's terms, that's between you and them.

• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled.
• Cancel anytime from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access to paid features until then.
• All paid fees are non-refundable, including any unused portion of a billing period after cancellation, except where a refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.

We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms. You may close your account at any time.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE DO NOT WARRANT IT WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Edge Cutter's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
